The Twilight Saga concludes, Jennifer Love Hewett returns, and more this week on DVD and Blu-ray.
Breaking Dawn Part 2 - Summit Entertainment - Rated PG-13
Breaking Dawn Part 2 swept the Razzie Awards this year, getting awards for Worst Picture, Worst Actress, Worst Supporting Actor and more. Love it or hate it, it comes to home video Saturday with bonus features that include a seven part documentary, a featurette, commentary and more.
Breaking Dawn Part 1 Extended Edition - Summit Entertainment - Rated PG-13
Also released on Saturday, Breaking Dawn Part 1 Extended Edition. This new release contains 8 minutes of scenes that were added back into the film - several of which are fan favorites from the book. Bonus features include Director's commentary.
The Master - The Weinstein Company - Rated R
The Master contains outstanding acting in a blurry film. Joaquin Phoenix is intense, quirky and wonderful, while Phillip Seymour Hoffman commands his role with deftness and aplomb. While both received Oscar nominations, the film is a confusing jumble. Extras include outtakes, additional scenes, a featurette and a documentary.
The Client List - Sony - Not Rated
Season one of the Lifetime series The Client List stars Jennifer Love Hewett as a masseuse that specializes in "extra services." It's trashy fun. The set includes ten episodes on 3 discs along with outtakes and deleted scenes.
Girls Against Boys - Anchor Bay - Rated R
Brutal and horrific in its unflinching, cavalier attitude on murder, Girls Against Boys is a grindhouse style revenge film that takes it several steps too far. I watched it like one would watch the scene of an accident. Extras include commentary.
Company of Heroes - Sony - Rated R
While it's based on a video game series, Company of Heroes is a decent World War 2 retelling of the Battle of the Bulge and the race to defeat Hitler's nuclear program. Extras include a deleted scene and two featurettes.
