A movie about being pregnant, another about getting along, Titanic and an interesting, haunting true story all this week on DVD and blu-ray…
(What to Expect When You’re Expecting – Lionsgate – Rated PG-13)
In What to Expect When You're Expecting, what I expected was a cheesy chick flick. What I didn't expect was to like a lot of it. Not much is original, but much of it is enjoyable. Bonus features include deleted scenes and two featurettes.
(Where Do We Go Now? - Sony – Rated PG-13)
Where Do We Go Now? is an unconventional film about Muslims and Christians living in the same isolated village who seem to get along just fine until word from the outside world about violence gets to them. It is touching, funny, heartwarming and surprised me by being very good! Extras include commentary and three featurettes
(Titanic 3-D – Paramount – Rated PG-13)
James Cameron calls this the final Titanic release. On 3-D Blu-ray for the first time, it looks terrific. Available in several ways, they all contain multiple featurettes.
(Ghosts of the Abyss 3-D – Disney – Rated G)
James Cameron’s Ghosts of the Abyss 3-D is exceptional, and is a must for any Titanic fan. It comes to blu-ray with an extended version of the film and a multi-part featurette.
(Appropriate Adult – Inception Media Group – Not Rated)
Emily Watson gives an exceptional performance in the award winning Appropriate Adult - the haunting true tail about a married couple in England who were serial murderers. The two part series has no Bonus Features.
(Vampire Diaries The Complete Third Season – Warner Brothers – Not Rated)
The third season of the CW series The Vampire Diaries comes to disc with 22 episodes on five discs. Extras include two featurettes, a gag reel and deleted scenes.
