Bob Richards checks out some wimpy kids, and a remake will help you totally recall an Arnold Schwarzenegger action film.
(Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days – 20th Century Fox – Rated PG)
Based on the fourth Wimpy Kid book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days describes Greg's worst summer ever beginning with Greg and Rowley going to Rowley's country club after school closes for the summer. Greg is kicked out because he complained of even the smallest predicaments. It stars Zachary Gordon, Robert Capron, Rachael Harris and Steve Zahn.
(Total Recall – Sony – Rated PG-13)
Total Recall is a remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger action thriller about reality and memory, inspired by the famous short story, “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick. Rekall is the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker, even though he's got a beautiful wife who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life - real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, he becomes a hunted man. It stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, John Cho, and Bill Nighy. It’s rated PG-13.
And at The Flicks…
(Take This Waltz – Sony – Rated R)
Michelle Williams stars in R rated Take This Waltz as the contented wife of a cookbook author. Alone at an amusement park, she falls into a whirlwind romance with an artist who she later discovers is her neighbor. Directed by Sarah Polley, it also stars Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman.
