Whitewater Park in Boise River a success for kayakers and surfers alike
2014 marks the third year where the Boise River White Water Park has been operational.
This summer, some changes are coming to the river terrain and hopefully more people to the water.
The river allows for surfers, kayakers and body boarders alike to take a dip after work, on weekends or even on a lunch break.
The owner of Corridor Paddle Surf Shop in Garden City, Victor Myers, is shaping boards and loves the boost in business.
“Sales are definitely better when the weather is good. So, the heat definitely brings people out," said Myers.
Access to the park is free and a schedule is in place that caters to kayakers on Tuesdays and Thursdays and to surfers on alternate days.
