Utah man arrested in child enticement case

By Idaho On Your Side. CREATED Apr 19, 2014
The Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged a Utah man with felony child enticement after a two-month investigation.
Allen B Johnson, 48, of Provo, Utah was arrested yesterday afternoon at a Caldwell restaurant where he thought he was meeting with a 15-year-old girl.  The girl turned out to be an undercover officer that Johnson had been communicating with online.
Johnson had been communicating with an undercover officer since February. The conversations between police and Johnson were sexual in nature.  At one point, Johnson gave access to his online profile which contained several pornographic images.  Johnson drove from Provo to Canyon County on Friday.
Johnson was booked into Canyon County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

The Canyon County Prosecutor’s Office has an investigator dedicated to investigating special victims crimes, including child pornography and online enticement cases. CCPA Investigators have received information that Johnson may have additional victims. They are asking anyone with information about juveniles that Johnson has had contact with to contact the Canyon County Prosecutor’s Office Investigations Unit. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS or contact Investigator Tony Thompson at 454-7391.
