The Twin Falls Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the suspect involved in a
bank robbery Tuesday to contact the department’s non-emergency hotline at 208-735-4357.
At 11:50 a.m., Twin Falls Police responded to a report of a male individual who robbed Zions Bank located at 1863 Blue Lakes Blvd. North in Twin Falls.
The individual is described as being a white male, who is approximately 6 feet tall, with a medium build and brownish hair. He was last seen wearing light green shorts, a yellow long-sleeve shirt and a black baseball cap with a yellow brim. The suspect was described as unshaven and carrying dark-colored gloves.
A bank employee said the suspect calmly approached a bank teller, displayed what was believed to be a handgun in a shoulder satchel, and then instructed the teller to hand over an undisclosed amount of money.
Although there were customers and employees in the bank, nobody was injured during the robbery.
The suspect was last seen riding a red off-road motorcycle northbound on Blue Lakes Boulevard. Police located a red motorcycle at the Twin Falls Visitors Center approximately a half-mile north of the bank, which matched the description of the suspect’s motorcycle. The motorcycle at the Visitors Center did not have any plates.
Witnesses at the visitors center told police that they saw a male individual leave the motorcycle and enter a blue pickup truck that promptly left the visitors center in an unknown direction.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is encouraged to call police at 208-735-4357.
Police will release more information as it becomes available.
