It took crews roughly three hours to clean up spilled beans after a semi-truck flipped over at the intersection of Meridian Road and Amity.
According to police, the truck driver missed a downshift while approaching Amity Road and instead of running a stop light, tried to turn on Amity.
That’s when the truck tipped over and load of beans went all over the road. The beans hit a car in the westbound lane of Amity with enough force to move that car over about half a lane.
No one was seriously injured in the crash. Traffic on eastbound Amity was closed for about three hours while crews removed the beans from the road.
Farm crews were able to recover much of the payload. Crews with the Ada County Highway District cleaned up the rest.
Amity Road was reopened to traffic shortly after 10 a.m.
