Nampa Police search for three burglary suspects

Early Thursday morning Nampa Police responded to a report that several individuals were breaking into cars on the 2300 block of W. Lake Point Court in Nampa. A witness said they saw several people breaking into their car. When confronted, the suspects fled the area in a white vehicle.
The witness then chased the suspect vehicle west down Smith Ave to Midland Blvd.
The driver of the suspect vehicle then lost control and crashed into a house at the intersection of Smith and Midland.
Three of the four individuals in the vehicle fled the area on foot.
Officers took the driver, 22-year-old Benigno Rocha of Caldwell, into custody. According to police, Rocha is a local rapper that goes by the name of Big Happy.
Rocha was charged with Burglary and Grand Theft and is being held at the Canyon County Jail without bond.
At the scene of the crash, officers located numerous items believed to be stolen from vehicles and open garages. The property includes personal items, power tools and stereos.
Police are asking residents in the Lake Point subdivision to check for any items missing from their vehicles or garages.
The public’s assistance is requested in identifying the three males that fled from the area.
