The Ada County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a man wanted on a probation violation fled on foot from police and ended up in a golf course pond on July 23rd.

Ada County Sheriff Deputies responded to a call around noon on Wednesday, July 23rd to a no contact violation.

Nathan M. McCoy was allegedly contacted by a woman that had a no contact order at his home on E. Bogey Drive.

Police discovered that McCoy was not telling the truth and he fled on foot.

McCoy ran off and ran through several yards before ending up on the golf course.  After 15 minutes of pursuit, McCoy jumped into a pond near the fifth hole of the course.

After a half-hour, deputies were able to coax McCoy from the water and charge him with a probation violation, resisting arrest, and filing a false police report.
