Man arrested after driving car into gas station sign

One man was ticketed and another was arrested after smashing into a gas station sign at the intersection of North Cole Road and West Ustick.
Officers on patrol this morning around 4 a.m. saw a yellow Nissan that matched the description of a vehicle that a citizen reported to be a possible drunk driver.
When the officer attempted to make contact, the vehicle went north on Cole road and officers lost sight of the car. However, when the officer got further up the road they saw the vehicle stopped just after crashing into a sign.
The driver fled on foot, but officers were able to catch him and bring him into custody.Robert Hermann was then charged with DUI, resisting arrest, and leaving the scene of an accident.
The passenger who remained in the car later identified as Benjamin Camba was cited for open container, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
