Four Idaho Falls teens referred to juvenile court for arson
Idaho Falls police referred four teenage boys to juvenile court early Tuesday morning for arson for setting fire to playground equipment at Esquire Acres Park. The teens, ages 14 and 15, were also cited for misdemeanor injury to property.
According to reports, officers were dispatched to Esquire Acres Park around 1:56 a.m. for a report of vandalism in progress. The reporting parting observed the teens damaging sprinkler heads and pouring gasoline onto playground equipment and lighting it on fire. They left before police arrived but were located in the area.
The teens were referred to juvenile court and then released to their parents.
