Driver in Twin Falls Co. crash survives fall over 20 ft cliff
On Thursday night Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash on Grandview Drive and Addison Avenue in Twin Falls County.
Luis J. Nevarez, 30 of Kimberly, was driving a 2005 Nissan Maxima and traveling north on Grandview Drive at a high rate of speed. Nevarez failed to negotiate a ninety degree curve and went through a concrete barrier and over a twenty foot cliff. The car landed on its top at the southern edge of Addison Avenue.
Paula K. Niehus, 49 of Huron, SD, was driving a 2007 Ford Sedan and traveling east on Addison Avenue when debris struck her vehicle.
Nevarez was transported by ground ambulance to St. Lukes Magic Valley in Twin Falls. Niehaus, her passengers Jack L. Holman, 75, and Myrna L. Holman, 70, both of Henderson, NV were not transported.
Nevarez was not wearing a seat belt. The eastbound lane of Addison Avenue and both lanes of Grandview Drive were blocked for approximately two hours.
