Couple with kids in backseat flee, arrested by Caldwell Police
At 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday a Caldwell Police officer saw a subject he recognized as Marco Sedano. The officer knew Sedano had outstanding arrest warrants and a suspended driver’s license. When the officer tried to stop Sedano, Sedano fled in his vehicle.
Caldwell Police officers pursued Sedano from the downtown Caldwell area through a neighborhood near West Valley Medical Center. Sedano ran several stop signs and drove erratically as he fled. Sedano finally stopped and surrendered in the 400 block of West Ash Street.
After the stop, officers learned that the front seat passenger, Cynthia Serrano, also had outstanding arrest warrants and encouraged Sedano to flee. Officers also discovered three young children belonging to the two adults were in the back seat during the pursuit.
Sedano and Serrano were taken to the CCSO jail. Sedano was charged with felony eluding, 3 counts of injury to a child, driving without priveleges, and outstanding arrest warrant. Serrano was charged with felony aiding and abetting eluding, 3 counts of injury to a child, and outstanding arrest warrent.
The children were released to a family member.
