Police: Armed and dangerous man on the run after Nampa police chase

Nampa Police are looking for a suspect that fled from police in a corn field after a chase involving a carjacking and accident.
Rodney Lee Seiber, 35, from Nampa, is a suspect in a carjacking and pursuit which occurred on Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 around 6:45 p.m.
According to police, Seiber was being sought after reports of a vehicle theft on Caldwell Boulevard on September 18th. Police spotted Seiber who proceeded to run into the Norco business parking lot and approached an employee with a knife. Seiber took off in a Norco company van until he crashed into another vehicle at Middleton and Fitzwilliam’s.
According to Sgt. Tim Randall, Seiber proceeded to run into a corn field which was searched by Nampa and Canyon County SWAT teams. After several hours the search was suspended, and police are considering Seiber armed and dangerous and “will go to any length to avoid being captured by police.”
Police have described Seiber as 6’3”, 170 pounds, brown hair, and was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Seiber has several tattoos, including the words SEIBER on the back of his neck, JESSICA on the left side of his neck, SHYANNE on the right side of his neck, and scorpion on his throat.
Police are obtaining a warrant for his arrest. When Seiber is found and he will be charged with robbery, grand theft, eluding police, and possession of a controlled substance. More charges are possible after Seiber is captured.
