80 homes still without power due to Beaver Creek Fire
Idaho Power crews continue repairing and replacing power poles, power lines, and transmission lines damaged by the fast-moving Beaver Creek Fire near Hailey.
“The crews are also continuing to increase defensible space around the poles in threatened areas by managing vegetation that can serve as fuel for fire,” said Idaqho Power spokeswoman Stephanie McCurdy.
Power remains out for about 80 customers from the Sawtooth National Recreation Area to Galena Lodge. Idaho Power was directed by the Forest Service to “de-energize” the area due to fire concerns.
Power was restored to all other customers in the area yesterday evening, McCurdy said.
