Garden City Police seek hit and run driver

An update to our story:
Investigators continue to follow-up on leads in the hit and run accident of Alan D. Beavers.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a dark colored SUV that was driving at a high rate of speed when it struck Mr. Beavers.
Based on the evidence found at the scene, the vehicle was a dark colored 1992 to 1995 Toyota 4 Runner.
Beavers remains hospitalized and in Critical Condition. The family and the police are requesting the assistance from the public with identifying the driver who struck him and fled the scene.

Crime Stoppers offers a reward up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest.
Alan D. Beavers, 24 (correction: a new press release by the Garden City Police Department lists Beavers as 25 years of age), of Garden City, was crossing Chinden Boulevard at Garrett Street on Saturday night when he was struck by a dark colored SUV.
"We are releasing the video and seeking the public's help in solving the case. The victim remains in serious condition and fighting for his life at a local Boise hospital," Garden City Police Chief Bensley said.
Police are looking for a dark colored SUV, possibly black or dark green in color, with damage to the right front quarter panel or hood area. The right front headlight may be broken.
