The Blaine County Sheriff’s website is urging citizens to be aware that certain areas are under evacuation.
Mandatory evacuation orders are in effect for areas around Ketchum including the area of Deer Creek from the Big Wood Bridge west.
In addition, the Greenhorn Gulch from the arch west, NOT including Golden Eagle, is also under mandatory evacuations. To be clear, the Greenhorn Gulch is a rural area west of Ketchum, not the similarly named neighborhood, Greenhorn Village.
Residents in the area of Timber Gulch all the way South to Cloverly Ranch on the West side of Highway are under PRE-EVACUATION NOTICE.
This notification is to prepare for evacuation on short notice. Residents will be notified should a mandatory evacuation become necessary.
Please be advised that officers from Sun Valley Police, Ketchum Police, Hailey Police and the Idaho State Police are assisting the Blaine County Sheriff's Office in pre-evacuation notification and evacuations.
