By Maria Decaney. CREATED Jul 22, 2013

On the evening of July 20th Nena Martinez was swimming with Daniel Bravo-Rodriguez, 26, in the Snake River when he went under the water. Martinez reported that Bravo-Rodriguez began to struggle and pull her under so she pushed him away. She then attempted unsuccessfully to take hold of Bravo-Rodriguez.

The search for Bravo-Rodriguez continued until dark on Saturday and resumed on Sunday. The search continued on Monday morning, at which time Bravo-Rodriguez was located and recovered by the Payette County Sheriff’s Office one-half to one mile downstream near Nagaki Island.
