Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County offer free parenting seminars with Sandy McDaniel
BOISE, Idaho -- Parenting columnist and author Sandy McDaniel will present a series of free classes on techniques for everyday parenting problems held on the first Monday of each month, at the Boys & Girls Club of Meridian, 911 N. Meridian Road, and first Tuesday of each month, at the Moseley Center, 610 E. 42nd Street, in Garden City.
The next classes will be Monday, April 1, at the Boys & Girls Club of Meridian, and Tuesday, April 2, at the Moseley Center in Garden City. Classes are 6:30 pm to 8 pm. Reservations are not required and all classes are free and open to the public.
McDaniel will focus on how to make children mind without threats or bribes, stop fighting and defiant behavior, complete homework and chores, and make wise choices. The seminar is based on McDaniel’s book “Don’t Feed the Dragon” and draws on her 50 years of experience in child development. McDaniel wrote a parenting column for the Orange County Register newspaper, and is the creator of parentingSOS.com.
