Join Today's Six and FOX9 to raise money for Alzheimer's research
This year Today's 6 and Fox 9 On Your Side are teaming with the Alzheimer's Association to #ENDALZ.
The disease has personally devastated the family of Good Morning Idaho reporter J Bates and is a cause he is very passionate about. This year we want everyone to join us in participating in the walk, and helping to raise money that will benefit not only people here in Idaho but also fund research that could end this disease forever.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining us! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
The Walk To End Alzheimer's event will be on Saturday, October 4th, 2014 at Julius M. Kleiner Park in Meridian.
Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and the walk will start at 11 a.m. sharp! We hope to see you out there.
