Gemma is a familiar face in the Treasure Valley. She's spent time anchoring and reporting the news in Idaho for close to 12 years. In fact, she used to anchor the morning news here at KIVI. She is thrilled to back anchoring the weekend newscasts.
Gemma is a graduate of Washington State University. She started her news career in Roseburg, Oregon. She then held positions in Idaho Falls and Lincoln, Nebraska before moving to Boise.
Gemma left Boise and KIVI in 2004 to take an anchor position in Tampa, Florida.
After two years in the Sunshine State, she and her husband (a native of Boise) decided to move back home to the Gem State.
Gemma and her wonderful husband, Mike, are the proud parents of a three year old little boy. When Gemma isn't chasing after her son, she enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with friends and family, and running. Gemma says her proudest moment, outside of giving birth to her son, was recently completely her third half marathon in record time.
