Pixar challenges you to a virtual Easter egg hunt

By Julianne Cassidy. CREATED Apr 15, 2014

Remember when "Buzz Lightyear" gave a tutorial on "falling with style" by bouncing off the Luxo Ball and ricocheting into the air in "Toy Story?" Did you notice the exact same ball six years later in "Monsters Inc.?"

If you ever noticed various animated characters and props jumping between Pixar movies, you are not hallucinating. Pixar director Lee Unkrich has officially set the record straight. Yes, they've intentionally placed what he terms "Easter eggs" into Pixar movies ever since their first feature film, "Toy Story," in 1995.

Watch above as Unkrich challenges you to an "Easter egg" hunt.

Grab your children and binge on Pixar movies this holiday weekend. You may even spot teasers of movies to come.
