Keep the Umbrella Handy. More Storms Coming!

Tucson: We will start Tuesday under mostly cloudy skies, with light rain and storms possible through the early afternoon. Another impulse of moisture coming down from California, combined with our already super-soaked atmosphere, will enhance storm coverage by the late afternoon and evening hours, with another 60% chance for numerous showers and storms developing across the Tucson metro, and most of southeast Arizona. These storms will be capable of producing heavy rain and gusty winds. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 11 AM through the late evening hours for much of southern Arizona. We will see a slight decrease in storm coverage Wednesday with a 30% chance for storms, and a 20% Thursday and Friday. Highs will hover around 90 degrees through Friday. Mount Lemmon: 70% chance for showers and storms again Tuesday, decreasing to a 40% by Wednesday. Watch for quick run off! Highs will stay in the mid to upper 60s. Lows in the upper 40s.
