Wife sets husband on fire; claims he sexually abused her 7-year-old daughter
A 52-year-old Washington man is facing sex crime charges, while hospitalized in intensive care for severe burns. His wife set him on fire after he allegedly sexually abused her 7-year-old daughter.
Tatanysha Hedman is said to have doused Vincent Phillips in gasoline while he slept in their bed on July 17. She then lit her husband on fire.
Phillips escaped their residence and sought help in a local convenience store where he begged an employee to call 911 as he collapsed to his knees, as seen in the surveillance video above.
"Hedman allegedly confessed to pouring gasoline on her husband because he 'hurt' her daughter," reports the Huffington Post. "Phillips is not the child’s biological father." Police have since recommended that Phillips be charged with first-degree child molestation.
Hedman is being held on assault and arson charges with bail set at $500,000.
