The Super Bowl is really the only time of year when people look forward to watching commercials, and advertisers pull out all the stops to sell their products during the big game.
Among the most memorable Super Bowl spots of all time is the McDonalds ad featuring two basketball greats—-Michael Jordan taking on Larry Byrd for a Big Mac. And who can forget the Apple “1984” themed ad, which has been credited with putting Macintosh on the map. There’s also those Budweiser frogs croaking out the product name, and of course the Coke ad featuring Mean Joe Green and an adorable little boy
This year’s Super Bowl spots have some pretty big shoes to fill. At $4 million for 30 seconds of air time, it seems like the advertisers are under more pressure than the players.
