A couple of "Game of Thrones" fans are getting the chance to live (and die) in Westeros, the setting of the phenomenally successful "Game of Thrones" books, and the HBO series based on them, thanks to author George R.R. Martin.
Two lucky -- and as yet unidentified -- readers (one male and one female) will be written into (and then most certainly killed off from) one of Martin's next volumes in the series of "A Song of Ice and Fire" books.
The privilege cost the pair $20,000 each, but the money benefits a couple of charities supported by the best-selling author: Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary and the Food Depot of Santa Fe, N.M.
Several other prizes are available based on the amount you donate, including the chance for a helicopter ride to the wolf sanctuary with the author. (Watch the video above for more details from Martin himself.)
