Adam Levine makes his big screen debut this summer
Adam Levine, lead singer of Maroon 5 and judge on NBC's "The Voice," is jumping from inside your television to the big screen this summer as he stars in the film "Begin Again" alongside actress Kiera Knightley.
Levine's plays a singer who lives in New York with his girlfriend until he's signed by a major label. His character, "Dave," breaks up with "Gretta" (Knightley) after record execs say they "don't want anything to stand in his way." "Gretta," a seemingly down-to-earth singer-songwriter herself, takes to a local dive bar to sing her troubles away. Ex-record exec "Dan" (Mark Ruffalo) sees her there and decides to produce an album for her.

Written and directed by John Carney ("Once"), "Begin Again" debuts in theaters July 4. It also stars Hailee Steinfeld, Catherine Keener and Mos Def.
