Tucson voters head to the polls

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Voters in the City of Tucson will head to the polls on Tuesday, November 5th.

In Ward 3, Republican Ben Buehler-Garcia is challenging Democratic incumbent Karin Uhlich. Republican Mike Polak is facing off against Democratic incumbent Richard Fimbres in Ward 5.

Republican-turned-Democrat Steve Kozachik is running unopposed in Ward 6.

Also on the ballot, Proposition 403 to incorporate Vail.

There are several school district budget issues:

Altar Valley Elementary School District #51:

Proposition 408: 10% Maintenance and Operations Budget Override

Catalina Foothills Unified School District #16:

Proposition 406: 10% General Maintenance and Operations Budget Override

Proposition 407: 3.3% Maintenance and Operations Budget Override

Sunnyside Unified School District #12:

Proposition 405: 12% Maintenance and Operations Budget Override

For the city election, there are a handful of polling places open around town. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can find your polling location here.

If you vote by mail and forgot to mail your ballot back, you can drop it off at any of these locations.
