Will performers pay to perform at the Super Bowl?

By Shelby Payne. CREATED Aug 20, 2014

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -The NFL reportedly wants half-time acts to pay for the privilege to perform at the Super Bowl.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the NFL has narrowed down the list of potential performers at the 2015 Super Bowl to three candidates: Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Coldplay.

According to the paper, representatives have asked the potential acts if they would be willing to contribute a portion of their post- Super Bowl tour income to the league or make a financial contribution in exchange for the prime-time gig.

There is no word on their responses.
