5-star recruit Jalen Tabor decommits from Arizona football
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV)- Just a week after verball committing to Arizona, defensive back Jalen Tabor changed his decision to Florida on Thursday morning.
Tabor had originally chosen Arizona on national television at last week's Under Armour All-American Game. He had narrowed down his list to the Wildcats and Alabama the week before, ruling out two other finalists in Florida and Maryland.
Tabor is expected to enroll at Florida on Monday, and it would cap a startling turn of events on the recruiting front for one of the areas's best prospects. His commitment to Arizona last week was widely considered the most surprising pledge of the day at the Under Armour All-American Game, and Tabor cited fellow Friendship Collegiate Jonathan Haden's commitment to the Wildcats as a major factor in choosing the school..
Tabor, who is listed as ESPN's 15th-rated player in the country in class of 2014, intercepted five passes and posted 17 pass breakups as a senior, helping the Knights to a second consecutive appearance in the DCSAA AA championship game in December.
