Yuma resident newest Game and Fish commissioner
PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Game and Fish Commission has a new member.
Gov. Jan Brewer appointed James Ammons to a five-year term beginning Jan. 20.
The five-member commission is responsible for establishing rules and regulations that guide the management and conservation of the state's wildlife resources.
Brewer says Ammons is well-versed in both business and wildlife issues.
Ammons is a third-generation Yuma resident who owns a transportation services business and is a member of several wildlife associations. He graduated from the University of Arizona.
