TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A new study from Rutgers University shows that the chemical used to color many of the items we use daily yellow, may be a threat. PCB-11, a form of a chemical that was banned in 1979 is found in yellow dyes commonly used in some paint, paper and clothing.
Some studies show PCB's in general may lead to cancer, irritation in the nose or lungs, and even birth defects. Some say there is not enough science showing the effects of PCB-11 on humans, but it is making some people think twice about using things colored yellow.
