TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Vanna and Lilly were found abandoned outside the Humane Society of Southern Arizona back in May.  Since then, Vanna and Lily have made a full recovery and ready to find their forever homes.

Lily, is a 3-year-old pit-bull mix and Vanna, is a 3-year-old white and brindle pit-bull.

On May 12, Vanna and Lily were found abandoned outside the Humane Society of Southern Arizona’s main shelter at 3450 North Kelvin Boulevard.

Vanna was covered in dry feces, malnourished and her entire right ear was completely missing. Her inner ear was fully exposed to debris and infection.

Lily was covered in feces and incredibly malnourished with bite marks and scars.

The two show terrible injuries consistent with being used to train fighting dogs.

Unfortunately, after weeks of investigation HSSA Animal Cruelty Investigator Mike Duffey, alongside the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, were unable to track down exactly who abused these animals.

The case is still pending and anyone with information should call 88-CRIME.
