TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Dick Tomey, Trung Canidate and Alan Zinter will all be immortalized in the University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame.

Tomey, the football coach from 1987 to 2000, remains a folk hero in town. Canidate, who played from 1995 to 2000, was Tomey's top running back. Zinter played baseball for the Wildcats from 1986 to 1989 and went on to play for the Astros and Diamondbacks.

Other inductees include track and field athlete James Frazier, administrator Kathleen "Rocky" LaRose, baseball player Jim Ward and four swimming relay teams.

The class, the hall's 38th will be inducted during Homecoming Weekend, Nov. 7-9.
