Two kids seriously injured in morning collision
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A traffic collision closed a Tucson intersection for about three hours on Saturday morning.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with Tucson Police tells KGUN9 that an officer spotted the collision at the intersection of Irvington Road and 12th Avenue around 11 a.m.
Two vehicles, a Chevy suburban and Ford Explorer, were involved in the collision, said Widmer.
One adult and 4 children were occupants of the explorer. A 9-year-old and 12-year-old were transported from the scene with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The two occupants from the suburban fled the scene.
Officers are following up on leads to locate them, said Widmer.
