Three people taken to hospital after car collided with motorcycle
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A car hit a motorcycle with two riders on Tucson's northside.
Capt. Adam Goldberg tells KGUN9 that three people are injured after a car collided with a motorcycle near Oracle Road and Orange Grove Road just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
A couple in their 70s were on the two-wheel motorcycle when they were struck by a passenger car that was driven by a 21-year-old woman, Goldberg said.
Goldberg says the three patients did not suffer critical injuries, but they are being transported to the hospital.
The intersection was closed for approximately 45 minutes while paramedics tended to the patients and other crews cleaned debris in the roadway.
Paramedics transported the couple riding the motorcycle to the trauma center at UAMC by ground ambulance, and the driver of the car was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment, according to Goldberg.
All injuries are considered minor and the couple were wearing helmets at the time if the crash, Goldberg said.
DPS is on the scene to conduct the investigation in to cause of the incident.
