Tempe police: Phoenix Man arrested in 1999 killing
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - An arrest has been made in a 1999 cold case in the Phoenix area.
Tempe police say detectives and U.S. Marshals Service officers arrested 42-year-old Homer Moore of Phoenix on suspicion of first-degree murder in the suffocation killing of 19-year-old Karam Hussein Jabbar.
The victim's bound body was found in the trunk of a vehicle in a Mesa grocery store's parking lot. An autopsy determined that Jabbar's death was due to asphyxia partly due to a plastic bag placed over the head.
The body was found about week after Jabbar went missing.
Moore was arrested Monday in Glendale. Tempe police say they're seeking additional suspects in the case.
