Teen busted with meth in underwear
NOGALES, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Customs and Border Protection officers seized nearly $18,000 of methamphetamine from a 17-year-old female attempting to smuggle the drug into the U.S. in her underwear.
According to a media release from Customs and Border Protection, a Nogales, Sonora, Mexico resident applied for admission through the Morley pedestrian crossing
Officers selected her for additional inspection during her attempted crossing at the Port of Nogales, where they found more than a pound of meth in her undergarments.
The minor was referred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
She may be charged by complaint, which raises no inference of guilt but does charge her of criminal activity.
