Streetcar update: light at the end of the tunnel

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - As streetcar construction continues to clog up downtown, the light at the end of the tunnel is nearing.
The final weld for the tracks is happening Thursday with overhead electrical work and small amounts of paving being the only remaining phases.
According to Project Manager Joe Chase, you will begin to see the cars moving at the end of September for final testing with passenger service to follow within a few weeks. Chase tells 9OYS once the cars arrive in early September, drivers will be trained as the entire operation undergoes testing.
