Spirit Airlines new crop 'ad campaign'

By Stella Inger. CREATED Jul 10, 2014

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV)-- A mysterious sight on the ground is generating a lot of questions from people flying into the Kansas City airport. A new crop circle of man has popped up resembling the guy on the restroom sign. But this guy isn't not crossing his legs, he's covering up  a symbol of Spirit Airlines Bare Fares.

The airline offers an a la carte plan,  that cuts out built in costs for baggage and on-board beverages. The logo popped up on the airline's website in May, but it's the first time the company's used it in actual crops. Spirit Airlines says even after paying an artist to design the "crop art", it was still cheaper than traditional advertising on t-v, newspaper and online.
