CREATED Aug. 20, 2013

SOUTH TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - South Tucson Police arrested a man for his involvement in a shooting incident on August 4.

Lt. Jeff Inorio with South Tucson PD tells KGUN9 that Julian Martinez was released from the hospital Tuesday as he was also shot in the same incident on August 4. At the time of his release, he was arrested and booked into jail.

Inorio says on August 4, officers responded to the 100 block of W. 32nd St. after reports of shots fired.

When they arrived, they found multiple people with gunshot wounds.

A 53-year-old man and his 30-year-old son both had non life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Another 25-year-old victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers interviewed several witnesses and determined that all three men were in the front yard when they got into an argument and the 25-year-old man took out a small handgun and threatened to shoot everyone.

The 53-year-old man drew his own gun and shot the suspect several times as he began shooting.

The other two men in this incident are still recovering and police say they are considered victims who were acting in self defense.
