Sky Harbor: 24 flights affected by shooting at LAX
PHOENIX (AP) - Officials at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport say about two dozen flights were affected by the shooting at Los Angeles International Airport.
Thousands of fliers across the U.S. were delayed Friday after the shooting at an LAX at a security checkpoint closed parts the nation's third largest airport and caused a prolonged shutdown.
Sky Harbor officials say some flights from Phoenix to Los Angeles were departing by Friday afternoon.
They say seven from Phoenix to Los Angeles International Airport were been cancelled including five on Southwest Airlines.
Seven flights from Sky Harbor to LAX were delayed and 10 flights headed to Los Angeles International were diverted to Sky Harbor.
