TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Sierra Vista police need your help finding the owners of a young Maltese puppy.

Cpl. Scott Borgstadt with SVPD says the puppy was left in a dumpster at the Oasis Apartments, 4250 E. Busby Drive, Sunday, April 13.

The puppy was in semi-critical condition, dirty, wet and suffering from hypothermia inside a Miracle Grow soil bag, Borgstadt said.

The dog was wearing a red, rhinestone collar, but she did not have identification, according to Borgstadt.

She was taken to a local veterinarian, where she remains in semi-critical condition due to a possible head injury. She is slowly recovering as she learns to walk, eat and drink again, Borgstadt said.

If you have any information about this puppy, please call Sierra Vista Animal Control Office at (520) 458-4151 or the Sierra Vista Police Department at (520) 452- 7500.
