PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The Pima County Sheriff's Department assisted the Redlands Police Department in arresting a man for a 1988 murder.

Deputy Tracy Suitt with PCSD tells KGUN9 that 63-year-old Jimmy Morrison was arrested Monday for the murder of Kathleen Dade.

Suitt says Dade was 56 at the time of her death and worked as a boys' home director in Redlands, Calif.

Morrison was taken into custody at his home in the 8900 block of east Old Spanish Trail.

Detectives from the cold case unit in Redlands, Calif. reopened the case in 2005. They obtained an arrest warrant for Morrison in August, 2013.
