APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. (AP) - Search teams are again scouring the area along a desert wash where the badly decomposed body of a Tempe college student was found about two months after she went missing.
The remains were formally identified Thursday as 19-year-old Adrienne Salinas following testing at the state Department of Public Safety laboratory.
Her body was found Aug. 6 in a wash in Apache Junction on the eastern outskirts of the Phoenix area.
Searchers returned there Friday to seek out clues into the death of the Gateway Community College student.
They're looking for items such as clothing, jewelry and Salinas' cellphone.
She went missing June 15.
