Revenge Porn bill on way to Arizona Senate
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A bill to stop jilted lovers from posting explicit photos of their ex-flames on the internet to get revenge is headed to the Arizona Senate. The state House of Representatives passed the measure unanimously on Monday.
Republican Rep. J.D. Mesnard of Chandler's bill would make it a felony to post nude photos of a person without their written consent. It's one of the many pieces of legislation across the country in response to the posting of "revenge porn" that has increased with the growth of social networks.
California made it a misdemeanor to post such images last year.
