Police searching for Bashas' bank robber

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police released photos of a man who robbed a bank inside a Bashas' grocery store Thursday.

Sgt. Chris Widmer with TPD tells KGUN9 that the man entered the Wells Fargo Bank inside the Bashas' at 3275 N. Swan Rd. at about 2:15 p.m.

He handed the teller a note threatening harm and demanding money. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store.

He was last running westbound on Camp Lowell Road. There were no injuries during the incident.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, mid 20's, 5'8'' tall and 170 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he had long sideburns that connected to his chin. He was wearing a black t-shirt, dark jeans and a black and red baseball hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
