Police looking for armed cigarette thieves

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police are looking for two suspects who robbed a Chevron gas station for cigarettes.

Sgt. Maria Hawke with TPD tells KGUN9 the two suspects entered the Chevron at 5 South Houghton Road on June 22 at about 12:40 a.m.

One of the men have a handgun. They took more than 350 packs of cigarettes before leaving.

The man with the handgun was described as having a "heavy Hispanic accent." He was wearing an olive colored shirt, royal blue pants, an Oakland Raider's hat and a black bandanna covering his face.

The other man was wearing a "Tapout" sweatshirt and black pants. Detectives think the two men may be illegally selling the stolen cigarettes.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
