TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police are looking for a car involved in a deadly drive-by shooting.

A man's body was found shot in a white Chevy parked at a vacant warehouse on the 6200 block of Sears Rd. The owner of the property told KGUN9 that a landscaping crew found the car parked in the back riddled with bullets and a body inside. He says the car smashed through the gate, and then was closed from the other side.

Sgt. Pete Dugan said the car is linked to a drive-by shooting that happened Sunday night near Valencia and Tucson Blvd. 9-1-1 calls came in, but police couldn't find evidence of a shooting or locate the cars involved in the drive-by shooting.

Until early Tuesday afternoon when the property owner called police. Police identified the body --- 35-year-old Jesus Alcarez Ruiz, who was shot multiple times. Police located the driver, who was shot once, but didn't suffer life threatening injuries. Police are not releasing his name.

Sgt. Dugan said that he's hoping the 9-1-1 callers come forward with any information about the drive-by shooting. If you have any information about this crime, you're asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-crime.
