TUCSON(KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police arrested two men in connection with a string of armed robberies on Tucson's southside.

Thirty-five-year-old Jose Dicochea and 19-year-year-old Jordyn Sanchez are accused of robbing the same convenience store not once, but three different times.

The robberies happened at the Quick Mart on Drexel and Alvernon on December 9, 29 and 30. Police say the men stole cigarettes, other tobacco products and cash.

Monday morning, officers swarmed a home on the 3700 block of Felix Blvd., near Benson Highway, and arrested the two men. The home is less than half a mile from the robbery site.

Police say the bust is part of a larger crackdown on tobacco theft armed robberies in the area.

"It's something that we see. It's something that's becoming an issue," TPD Officer Brandon Tatum told 9OYS. "They're taking these products and they're going into the street and they're selling them. Similar to like a narcotics sale, they have them in houses [and] they're selling them out of houses. Some of the same characteristics you would see with a person dealing or selling illegal drugs. It has to be stopped."
